First Blog - Ever!

Well here it is. 2008 and I am doing this blog thing. The convoluted path that got me here involved "1000 Days at Sea." Very cool adventure - kind of a combination of science, philosophy, adventure. Well I am going to poke around here some more and see what happens when I actually post this.
